Until August 2009: I had the scientific director position at SCCH (Software Competence Center Hagenberg GmbH).
As one of Austria's largest independent research centers, SCCH has its
core competencies in Knowledge-based Technologies, Software and
Engineering Technologies, and Database Technologies. The mission of
SCCH is to strengthen the competitiveness of companies through
top-level applied research and innovative development.
Until March 2006: I led the research group AI/Cognition (KI/Kognition) at the computer science department of Technical University of Munich. The group is part of the chair for Theoretical Informatics and Foundations of Artificial Intelligence (TIKI),
headed by Prof. Wilfried Brauer. The group's main foci were on
agent and multiagent systems, knowledge and ontologies in open
